Government wants to teach us how to raise our children.

Great news! Since government thinks we are so dumb we can’t do anything on our own, they are trying new ways of “helping us.” Now, they came up with parenting lessons.
Section 440 of the House bill reads:
“Home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children, would provide grants to states to establish home visitation programs to educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.”
The well-trained staff will:
“Provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive language, social, emotional and motor domains… modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices, skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development.”
And it isn’t that voluntary:
“The state shall identify and prioritize serving communities that are in a high need of such services… especially communities with a high proportion of low-income families or a high incidence of child maltreatment.”
Just a reminder to our government: we don’t want your help, we know how to do things: we know how to raise our children, we know who we want our doctor to be, we know things that bureaucrats in Washington don’t. Period.
