If your child has a sore throat… you don’t take him to a surgeon. Just saying…

President Barack Obama said Wednesday:
“So if they’re looking — and you come in and you’ve got a bad sore throat, or your child has a bad sore throat or has repeated sore throats, the doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, you know what, I make a lot more money if I take this kid’s tonsils out. Now that may be the right thing to do, but I’d rather have that doctor making those decisions just based on whether you really need your kid’s tonsils out or whether it might make more sense just to change — maybe they have allergies, maybe they have something else that would make a difference”
First of all… it looks as if it was studied. Oh, no, I know what happened, he misread the Teleprompter and he forgot the example had to do with “your child.” But if your child has a sore throat you take him/her to a pediatrician, not a surgeon. Even if it happens to you… you won’t visit a surgeon.
But my point is: doctors take life-saving decisions. The pediatrician will tell you “go see a surgeon” only if that is what’s best for your child. He won’t earn more money for that. We all know it.
If the Health Care Bill passes decisions won’t be made upon what is best for your health, but upon what is approved by the government. Scary, isn’t it?
The Health Care bill isn’t about just health. It is about the Federal Government controlling our lives (even more). It is about affirmative action as well. Affirmative action are those policies and initiatives designed to help eliminate past and present discrimination based on race, color, religion, origin, etc. Here is an example:
The Secretary of Health and Human services
“Shall make give preference to entities that have a demonstrated record of the following: training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds.”
Which makes a lot of sense with everything Obama said during his campaign:
“I fear that reparations would be an excuse for some to say we’ve paid our debt and then avoid the much harder work.”
He supports this Health Care reform just because people of color because they are disproportionately uninsured, and they will be disproportionately benefited.
This bill isn’t about health. Again: it is about federal control of our lives and affirmative action. Nothing else. And the same happens with some other bills.
We need to stop this. We are individuals and we are all smart enough to make decisions, they are trying to control every aspect of our lives. And that is something we the people won’t let happen.
Call you Senators and Congressman/woman. Save our freedom!
