Cap and Trade will cost YOU a lot more than a stamp a day…. February 1, 2010

The United States House of Representatives passed the deceptively titled “American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009,” also known as the Waxman/Markey/Pelosi bill. This bill is now scheduled to go before the Senate. If this legislation becomes law, it will have a costly impact on you, the American People.
The legislation will:
- Cost Americans an estimated 77 ¢ per gallon more for gasoline at the pump. This means a 20 gallon fill-up will cost you an additional $15.40
1 gal ——– + $ .77
10 gal ——– + $7.70
20 gal ——– +$15.40
- Cost the average American family $1500 per year in additional energy costs.
- Weaken America’s ability to compete worldwide by increasing the costs of producing ALL goods in the United States.
- Reduce economic growth and recovery by destroying more than one million US jobs.

Obama’s first year. [TERRORISM] January 29, 2010

I’m going to start this post with some words of then candidate Obama in the campaign trail:
September 8, 2008.
“Don’t mock the Constitution. Don’t make fun of it. Don’t suggest that it’s not American to abide by what the founding fathers set up. It’s worked pretty well for over 200 years.”
I can’t believe he even got an applause for that one. The man is worried about reading the terrorists their rights. He doesn’t care about the intelligence information we need to save lives, he cares about the terrorists’ rights. I wish he treated conservatives just as nice as he treats terrorists.
Barack Obama is a father. He has two lovely daughters, and I think that his main concern should be: “Are they safe?” Well, when we had a man in the White House with the guts to do what was right, they were safe. We all were safe. But I don’t think we are safe now: Obama is making us more vulnerable: he’s apologizing to our biggest enemies, he ended the Enhanced Interrogation Techniques that saved millions of lives, he is more worried about getting out of Afghanistan than winning the war (and keep in mind: if the Taliban wins, Al Qaeda would be back in power).
But that, America, is what he meant when he talked about Hope and Change.
January 22, 2009.
President Obama vowed to close Gitmo by January 2010.
“Guantanamo will be closed no later than a year from now.[...] We won’t torture but we can still obtain [...] the intelligence that we need”
Mr. President, the Enhanced Interrogation Techniques were not torture. Those techniques were legal and they saved lives.
February 2009.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano referes to terror attacks as “man caused disasters.” Change we can believe in.
She stated “we want to move away from the politics of fear.”
November 5, 2009.
Terrorist Attack on Fort Hood. [I mean, man-caused disaster in Fort Hood, sorry.] 13 were killed and 38 wounded.[Personally, I think 14 were killed, 1 of the victims was pregnant...] Nidal Malik Hasan was the responsible. He has ties to Inam al-Awlaki, a rock star among Islamic extremists.
November 6, 2009.
Obama headed to Camp David.
George and Laura Bush visited the wounded.
November 13, 2009.
Eric Holder announces some terrorists, including 9/11 mastermind, will be tried in New York City. The cost of the trials could exceed $600 million. Holder is going to be giving the terrorists exactly what they want. The terrorists should be tried in a military court.
December 25, 2009.
Attempted terror attack. Crazy Jihadist [Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab] with Al Qaeda ties, boards a plane with a bomb in his pants.
December 27, 2009.
Janet Napolitano: the system “worked.”
December 28, 2009.
3 days after the attempted attack, Obama finally speaks. Says crazy Jihadist is “an isolated extremist.” Remember how liberals criticized President Bush because he stayed a couple of minutes in a school classroom, because he didn’t want to scare the little kids? Where were the liberals now? [Vacationing in Hawaii with Obama, maybe?]
January 2, 2009.
Detroit suspect also tied to Inam al-Awlaki and Al-Qaeda. But as Obama said, he was “an isolated extremist.”

NOTE: I’m sorry about the bad quality of the post, but I’m not feeling fine. Yesterday’s speech killed me. Too many lies said in 70 minutes, my head almost exploded…

Obama gave a 70 minutes-long boring speech. The speech was about him: he mentioned the words “I,” “me,” and “my” more than 100 times. [President Bush said "I" only 21 times during his first State of the Union Address.]
He talked about the “deficit of trust:”
“We face a deficit of trust -– deep and corrosive doubts about how Washington works that have been growing for years. To close that credibility gap we have to take action on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue — to end the outsized influence of lobbyists; to do our work openly; to give our people the government they deserve.”
Okay, so to “end the outsized influence of lobbyists,” Obama hired more than 6 lobbyists to serve in his Administration. Maybe it’s just me, but I think it doesn’t make sense.
When he talked about transparency, I laughed out loud….
“To do our work openly, and to give our people the government they deserve.”
Then candidate Obama promised transparency, remember? He said 8 times health care negotiations would be broadcasted on C-SPAN! But to be fair, this is the most transparent Administration in history. [You can almost see through TOTUS!]
“I’m also calling on Congress to continue down the path of earmark reform. Democrats and Republicans.”
He signed the stimulus bill, that didn’t stimulate anything but the deficit. The “stimulus” bill is full of earmarks. Change we can believe in?
“[...] Jobs must be our number-one focus in 2010, and that’s why I’m calling for a new jobs bill tonight.”
Is he calling for a second failed stimulus? The Obama administration believes spending creates jobs. But last year, that was proven wrong. Reagan created millions of jobs by less government spending and lower taxes. Government doesn’t create jobs, Mr. President… [Exceptions: Obama's stupidity created 3 jobs so far: Christie, McDonnell, and Brown. More jobs will be created in November...]
Yesterday night, I posted a Poll. I asked if I thought he was going to blame Bush. Congratulation to 98% of you, because as always, for Obama, the buck stops with Bush:
“By the time I took office, we had a one-year deficit of over $1 trillion and projected deficits of $8 trillion over the next decade. Most of this was the result of not paying for two wars, two tax cuts, and an expensive prescription drug program. On top of that, the effects of the recession put a $3 trillion hole in our budget. All this was before I walked in the door.”
Yes, last Tuesday people voted for Brown because they’re mad at Bush.
I loved this one:
“Now, let me repeat: We cut taxes. We cut taxes for 95 percent of working families.”
Seriously? You cut taxes?! Who is the President trying to kid? Someone should have yelled: “YOU LIE!”
Do you know who actually cut taxes? Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. Worked great.

Democrats’ SOTOP Talking Points. January 28, 2010
Posted by Flor Miguez in Uncategorized.add a comment
The following is an excerpt of Democrats talking points:
“The American People Demand Accountability from ‘The Party of No’”
Senate Democrats have made their goals clear to the American people – we are about strengthening our economy, creating good paying jobs and ensuring all Americans can access affordable health care.
· We understand the anger, anxiety and frustration among American families as the economy continues its recovery.
· We have made progress, but we know that much work lies ahead of us.
· The American people are still waiting to find out where Republicans stand on the important issues.
· On Meet the Press this weekend, the Senate Republican leader was asked what his caucus planned to support in a bipartisan manner. His answer – or lack thereof – prompted the moderator to claim, “So it sounds like the party of no charge is well deserved.”
· So far, all we know about the Republican plan is that they side with health insurers over patients, they want to take it easy on Wall Street – even at the expense of Main Street and they’re content to sit on the sidelines and obstruct progress as the American people struggle.
· The American people, now more than ever, will hold them accountable if they decide to continue sitting on their hands and doing nothing.
I am a Republican. Democrats call us “Party of No.” But dear Democrats: we are the party of YES! Yes to freedom. Yes to individual responsibility. Yes to the individual’s right to keep and bear arms. Yes to less government spending. Yes to lower taxes. Yes to a smaller federal government. Yes to TORT reform. Yes to buying health insurance across state limits. Republicans don’t blame America, Republicans don’t apologize for America and Republicans are proud Americans. Republicans believe America has the right to defend Herself. Republicans support freedom. Republicans support free speech.
Republicans like me have a brain, so we don’t support a government takeover of healthcare. We opposed the failed stimulus.
Massachusetts elected Scott Brown to vote NO to a government takeover of one sixth of the American economy. Maybe he was elected because “the party of no” is actually in touch with we the people. Unlike the party that is willing to push the dang health care bill down our throats. Obama even dared to say people elected Scott Brown because the people are angry at Bush, who the hell is he trying to kid?! I’m mad as hell at him, because he’s destroying the country I love.
So today, SOTOP [State of the Obama Propaganda] is about blaming Bush and Republicans.
More coming up.

Obama: the buck stops with Bush January 28, 2010

I was reading Democrats’ talking points for the State of the Union speech. And I found this:
“Senate Democrats want to clean up this fiscal mess, inherited from the last Administration, in order to avoid the economic catastrophe that would be created if the United States defaulted on our debt.”
Actually, dear Democrats, the blaming Bush game, no longer works. Just see what happened in Massachusetts. Besides, President Bush actually reduced the deficit from 412 billion in 2004 to 162 billion in 2007, despite the 2000 recession, 9/11 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And see how YOU Democrats are adding to the deficit: Stimulus, the trillion-dollar health care bill (that is dead, but you wanted it, and I won’t forget that), the creation of golf courses in towns with more cows than people, and the pork bills…)

Obama’s first year in office. [IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID!] January 27, 2010

During the campaign, candidate Obama, was perceived by some voters as a moderate, who would control spending, cut taxes and take back the economy.
During the campaign, candidate Obama, was perceived by me as a socialist nut-job. And I was right!
January 8, 2009; Virginia.
“Only government can brake the cycle that is crippling our economy. [...] That’s why we need to act boldly and act now –to reverse these cycles.”
January 16, 2009.
Obama, who needed someone to tell him the “campaign is over, sir,” went back to the stump in search of support for his multi-billion plan.
February 10, 2009.
RINO Charlie Christ introduced President Obama in a Town hall metting held in Fort Myers, FL. Obama stated:
“If we son’t act immediately, then million more jobs will disappear, the national unemployment rates will approach double digits, more people will lose their homes and health care, and our nation will sink into a crisis that at some point is going to be much tougher to reverse.”
February 17, 2009.
Obama signs into law the stimulus bill.
The Stimulus Bill is 1073 pages. You can read it here.
Obama said: “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is the most sweepingeconomic recovery package in our history.”
June 5, 2009.
Unemployment: 9%.
November 6, 2009.
Unemployment: 10.2%. Highest level in 26 years.
Obama: “Although we lost fewer jobs than we did last month, our unemployment rate climbed to over 10 percent — a sobering number that underscores the economic challenges that lie ahead.”
December 8, 2009.
“We can safely say that we are no longer facing the potential collapse of our financial system and we’ve avoided the depression many feared.”
The American people don’t like the stimulus.
Remember what Obama and Company said when they were lobbying for the stimulus?
- That if it was passed, unemployment would be under 9%. If it wasn’t passed, our economy would collapse. It was an emergency!
- 3,650,000 would be created
But back then, people with common sense knew that it wouldn’t work: because government, Mr. President, doesn’t create jobs.

Candidate Obama promised to change America’s image. [He wanted terrorists to like us. I want terrorists to fear us....]
April 2, 2009.
“I would like to think that with my election and the early decisions that we’ve made, that you’re starting to see some restoration of America’s standing in the world. And although, as you know, I always mistrust polls, international polls seem to indicate that you’re seeing people more hopeful about America’s leadership.”
[NOTE: He's arrogant. Normal Americans aren't arrogant. Period.]
April 3, 2009; Strasbourg, France
“In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there’s been times when America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”
April 4, 2009; NATO News Conference
“I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.”
April 4, 2009.
President Obama meets Saudi King Abdullah in London. He bows.
April 6, 2009.
Gibbs denies it was a bow. Says he only shook the King’s hand. [90000 jobs saved or created, and the bow controversy was Bush's fault!]
April 17, 2009; Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
“All of us must now renew the common stake that we have in one another. I know that promises of partnership have gone unfulfilled in the past, and that trust has to be earned over time. While the United States has done much to promote peace and prosperity in the hemisphere, we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms. But I pledge to you that we seek an equal partnership. There is no senior partner and junior partner in our relations; there is simply engagement based on mutual respect and common interests and shared values. So I’m here to launch a new chapter of engagement that will be sustained throughout my administration.”
Obama met Chavez in the Summit of the Americas. They greeted warmly. [Obama probably apologized to the dictator in the name of America: "Hugo, I'm sorry. America is the land of the free... But, you know, I'm here to change it!]
Chavez also gave Obama a book tittled “The Open Veins of Latin America,” written by an Uruguayan, Eduardo Galeano. [That's the day where I wanted to hide my birth certificate. (I was born in Uruguay)]
April 19, 2009; News Conference, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
“I think it was a nice gesture to give me a book; I’m a reader. And you’re right, we had this debate throughout the campaign, and the whole notion was, is that somehow if we showed courtesy or opened up dialogue with governments that had previously been hostile to us, that that somehow would be a sign of weakness. The American people didn’t buy it. And there’s a good reason the American people didn’t buy it — because it doesn’t make sense.”
Well, what doesn’t make sense is what he said. Chávez is an anti-American nut-job. He’s a dictator. He called President Bush the devil, a drunk, and dumb. [And bird.] Do you think it makes sense that the American President sits down with him for tea?! And yes, it makes us weaker. I don’t want Osama bin Laden to like us. I want him to fear us. I want Chávez to fear us. I want Ahmadinejad to fear us. I want Kim Jom Il to fear us. I want Qaddaffi to fear us. [And to take a shower. Maybe buy some new clothes would be good too... Anyway.]
June 4, 2009; Cairo, Egypt.
“9/11 was an enormous trauma to our country. The fear and anger that it provoked was understandable, but in some cases, it led us to act contrary to our ideals. We are taking concrete actions to change course. I have unequivocally prohibited the use of torture by the United States, and I have ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed by early next year.”
First, no attacks since 9/11 in American soil. [Bush's fault!] Second, THE TECHNIQUES THAT WERE USED TO INTERROGATE TERRORISTS WERE NOT TORTURE. [Click here to read a description of each technique used, courtesy of the Justice Department, that released the info. By doing so they weakened us.] There were no broken bones, no bloodshed, and no one was killed. Those techniques led to key intelligence information that SAVED LIVES.

November 14, 2009; Tokyo, Japan.
Obama bows again. This time to the Emperor of Japan.
Robbert Gibbs, didn’t deny it this time.
November, 16, 2009.

Great day, I turned 15 [I was celebrating the fact that I could drive if I lived in Tennessee.] Obama bowed to Hu Jintao. It was like “Happy birthday, Flo!”
While I was eating cake I was saying to myself: “There he goes again.”
December 9, 2009; Oslo, Norway.
And all these apologies led to something: a Nobel Peace Prize. I was watching from DisneyWorld. That’s great, Jimmy Carter also has a Nobel Peace Prize, and Yasser Arafat.
It would be fabulous if we had a President who cares more about our national interests and security, and not what could make him win a Nobel Peace Prize.
All of Obama’s apologies only make us weaker.
Please, leave comments, I love to hear from you ☺

The audacity of Stupidity. January 26, 2010
Posted by Flor Miguez in Uncategorized.add a comment
So, last Sunday, Obama’s advisers were interviewed on the political talk shows.
Axelrod said 2 million jobs were “saved or created.” [Anyone has an idea of what the hell is a job "saved or created?" Not even the White House can tell]
Then you have Gibbs, who said the stimulus “saved or created a million and a half jobs.”
These two need to share their talking points with Valerie Jarrett, who said “thousands and thousands of jobs were saved” by the stimulus.
So, how many jobs were created? 2 millions, a million and a half, thousands? Well, I think the stimulus has done more damage to the economy than good. No jobs were created by the stimulus. The American people don’t support the crazy spending of the Obama Administration. Most Americans believe the stimulus was a waste of money. 56% of Americans now oppose the stimulus program.
But as Connie Chung would say: “low unemployment rate is not entirely good news. Fewer people are looking for work.” So, I think the next thing the White House is going to say is “high unemployment is great news! Lots of people are looking for jobs!”
[NOTE: Connie needs a new brain.]
That’s the audacity of stupidity!
